Becky
Jeffers
Becky
discovered yoga while in art school in 1990. Since then she has
explored the many benefits of yoga, enjoying the emotional and physical
stress management qualities it provides her mothering life. She
started teaching in 1996, shortly after completing her first teacher
training with Suddha Weixler. She has continued to seek out instruction
with some of yoga's senior instructors, including Pattabhi Jois.
Her experience has included working with children and the elderly,
individuals of varying states of health (such as those living with
cancer), and over the past six years has focused on pelvic health.
Becky spent time at the Berman Center in Chicago collaborating on
health progams for women coping with sexual dysfunction as well
as menopause management. She continues to work on yoga programs
specifically for bladder and bowel issues including but not limited
to incontinence. She continues to explore the limitless health benefits
of yoga within her own practice; Pelvic Power Yoga has come out
of this body of experience.

Carolyn
Friedman
Angela Hunsicker
Carolyn
and her colleague, Angela, help parents respond to their children
in ways that best meet their social and emotional needs at each
age. The result is a more relaxed parent and a happier, more successful
child - every parent's desire. As parent coaches with Smart Love®
Parenting Center, Carolyn and Angela help parents find kind and
compassionate answers to their parenting concerns through the Smart
Love®
approach to parenting. Smart Love®
differs from other approaches in not relying on natural consequences
or negative measures of any kind, such as letting your baby cry
him/herself to sleep, in order to manage the child's behavior. Smart
Love®
was developed by Drs. Martha and William Pieper, is full explained
in their book Smart Love, and is also featured every month
in the popular Smart Love column in Chicago Parent magazine.
