Baby
& Me Yoga
A
class designed for parents wishing to explore the traditional benefits
of yoga, as well as creating a safe and fun environment to bond
with baby. This class will focus on restoring balance and health
to the physical body through asanas, (postures), relaxation and
breathing techniques. Using a playful and loving style, you will
learn infant massage and stretches for baby, incorporating songs
and games, which create a unique and joyful class. Yoga is the practice
of uniting mind, body and spirit, and sharing this special time
with your baby creates a peaceful, stress-free and fun hour that
will last long after the class is over.
Busy
Baby Yoga (for the parents of crawlers and early walkers)
Join
Jenny for an hour of Yoga exercise while babies play together! This
class focusses on toning mom, while will also entertaining and stretching
baby too! Finally, an exercise class for the mobile babies!
Comfort
Measures for Childbirth and Beyond
This
unique workshop is designed for pregnant women and their labor support
partner(s). Through both discussion and experiential learning, we
will explore a variety of tools to assist in the process of labor
and birth. The postpartum period will also be discussed. We will
cover the following techniques: Massage, breathing, positions for
labor and birth, visualization, sound, aromatherapy, heat and cold,
and acupressure.
Kid's
Yoga (3-5 years)
This
class introduces yoga to young children through simple, child-friendly,
weekly themes such as animals, places and feelings. The class will
incorporate books, games and music with yoga postures designed to
teach body awareness and balance. Children are encouraged to use
their imaginations and express themselves through activities such
as role-playing, poses, and creative body movements in a safe, fun
and playful environment. Each class will end with relaxation and
breathing techniques, which will help to promote the calming of
the body.
Kid's
Yoga (5-7
years)
This
class introduces yoga to children through simple, yet comprehensive
instruction. Children are encouraged to use their imaginations and
express themselves through traditional poses, and creative body
movements in a safe, fun and playful environment. Each class will
end with relaxation and breathing techniques, which will help to
promote the calming of the body.
Prenatal
Couples' Yoga
This
class is for expecting parents wishing to learn yoga techniques
to help reduce stress, anxiety and tension. You will learn some
basic comfort measures for labor and delivery, as well as powerful
breathing techniques, bringing about a sense of connection and bonding
in this special time together before baby arrives.

goes through during pregnancy. It teaches strength and stamina,
as well as concentration and breath control, both of which are invaluable
tools during labor and birth. It can be beneficial for every stage
of pregnancy, and it gives the ever-changing pregnant woman a tool
for self-awareness and relaxation.

Time Around
A
Refresher for Childbirth and Parenting
This
class is designed for families expecting their second, (or third),
child. We will discuss physical and emotional support for labor
and delivery, sibling adjustment, and special situations that arise
when your family expands. Topics addressed include exercises and
discussion of how your previous birth and child affect this birth,
the sibling's perspective of pregnancy, birth and the newborn, and
the new family working together. Come and learn about the joys of
an expanding family!
